At the Drew League Week 6, LA Loop played against Jaguars. On Friday, LA Loop had the first team practice in this season and checked basic formations. This practice worked out and LA Loop defeated Jaguars at 70-53 by leading the game from the beginning.
In the first quarter, a new center player Rodney Webb performed well in the paint area. He hustled on scoring and rebounding. LA Loop kept scoring with Vince Camper’s free throws and ended up the first quarter with the score of 18-11.
In the second quarter, a bench player Kenny Jones showed his talent. His playing time has been very short in the previous games, but he showed his quickness and made points from his steals in this game. He accelerated the game tempo which was we didn’t have before. LA Loop kept their lead and finished the first half at 34-25.
LA Loop kept leading the game in the third quarter by scoring points by every player. Jaguars tried to catch up with the LA Loop’s lead, but LA Loop defeated their challenges and finished the third quarter at 50-42.
In the final quarter, the game became a 3-point game by Jaguars 3-pointers. But LA Loop is different in this season. They are turning into play patiently in the tough time. LA Loop defeated Jaguars challenges again and finished the game with the final score of 70-53. The win-loss record of LA Loop is now 5-1.
Younger players showed great performances in this game. They got points by taking full advantage of their quickness. I am hopefully every single player can keep this performance.
